I started making and selling the most delicious Kota’s/Bunny chows at my home garage at the age of 16. Later on I recognised an opportunity or a gap in the market to sell my product at our very own mall in Mkhondo the mall@mfula. The name of my business is ‘Kota King Box’. I have different flavours that I serve. I was able to take a ‘Kasi’ originated product and modernise it so that its suitable for anyone and everyone. I have set up a stall right in the centre of the mall where all the people walk past. Since I’m still in school I only sell on Saturdays. The feedback from the people is great thus far and the consumers are enjoying my product. I have chips available as a side on the menu and I also sell single items like : Vienna’s , Russians and cheese on the side. I would really love to grow this business into one of the biggest franchises in South Africa and the world at large and I feel this is the perfect platform for me to start my journey of making this business a huge success.
